Frequently Asked Questions...
Where can I buy the sturdy, reinforced pull up bars monkey bars& dip stations found in public parks in NY?
I am putting together a calisthenics training area in my yard and I want the same level of sturdiness, weatherproof quality and durability as the pull up bars, dip stations and monkey bars in the public parks of NY/NJ because I am already a weightlifter/power lifter and not wasting money on door jamb pull up bars and things that won't support 300lbs + on a daily basis. And if I can avoid it, I'd rather not have to guy all the steel and have it welded independently because I can imagine that may be expensive.
Answer:
You nailed your own question. You want it to be affordable, yet you want it to be industrial strength such as what you see at public parks.
Industrial strength stuff costs quite a bit more than typical consumer products.
That said, you could probably do well by hiring a carpenter &/or metal worker. I imagine you could get good results from concrete anchored 6x6 lumber posts and some nice thick aluminum or stainless bar. That stuff comes from your local hardware store for cheap.
